ABOUT HEALING CREATIVITY
We are Laura Summs and Mari Juhlin, the founders and facilitators here at Healing Creativity We are both Qualified Coaches (Personal Development), Inner Child Advocates, Intuitive Feelers and Creatives. We're Soul Sisters living thousands of kilometres apart. Mari in Sweden and Laura in South Africa. Do we need to tell you that we're grateful for internet.
We first met (online) in 2020 while studying the Integration Mentor Program and something just clicked. So we stayed in touch while we worked on our seperate projects.
Fast forward a couple of years to when Mari fell into a deep black hole of exhaustion. Inspired by the Collages Laura shared on Facebook, Mari somehow managed to find the strenght to pick up a pair of scissor and some magazines, and Mari's first of many Intuitive Collages was born.
The creative process sparked something within her and with each collage the life force started to seep back. She also discovered that, through the collages, she was able to connect to her innermost self - to all those parts of her that yearned to be seen, heared and healed.
That could have been the end of the story, as it had so many times before when Mari had started to kindle her creative fire. There were just too many creative wounds that kept her from truly unleashing her creativity.
But Mari took a crucial and brave step; She shared her collages with Laura, and the genuinly delighted and encouraging respons she got was, without knowing it, exactly what Mari needed to start healing her creative wounds. It wasn't long until we both shared collages with one another. This led to deeply intuitive conversations and insights that healed more than just our creative wounds.
The supportive, non-judmental and compassionate space that formed between us was so significant to our healing and growth that we wanted to to share and create this for - and with - others. And so Healing Creativity was born.
